I was asked to make a card by a friend for another friend’s little girl’s Christening (wow that’s a mouthful), but inspiration just wouldn’t strike. That is until I came across a lovely heart card made of buttons in Making Cards magazine. So I adapted the idea so that it incorporated the cross and made it girlie by using pink. Below is the completed card.
You DO NOT need a die cutting machine to make this card. 🙂
To make this card I made a simple 6×6 card blank from snow white Centura Pearl card, I then trimmed pink shimmer card leaving a slight white edge, to this I added Hunkydory glitter swirl card (forgot the actual name, sorry). I then added the cross in the middle and using silver peel-offs added the sentiment.
To make the cross I used a template to cut out the cross shape from pink shimmer card and trimmed a slightly smaller one from snow white Centura Pearl card and matted this on. I then glued mixed pink buttons to the cross in a random fashion then added the name plate using silver peel-offs.
